1999-2000

Welcome to the Team Metro R/C Web Page
      Formerly Known as

          Updated

          New Note from the Web-master:

          About this site,
Well, first and foremost, let me formally  introduce ourselves.
We are Team Metro, consisting of 8 talented R/C racers that reside in the NY/NJ Metro Area, hence the name.

BASICALLY, this site shows off all the pretty pictures of our R/C cars.

For those wondering, I got the idea of Metro from the NY/NJ Major League Soccer Team, the Metro-Stars.

Members include : Dan N, Ed N, Jones K, Jason K, Jim L, Nelson L, Robert L., and Alan Mok.   We started out as a group of friends that just met together for R/C fun on weekends. After a few races at some local tracks, Brownies Hobbies and Bruckner Hobbies, we decided to form a team. After racing together, I felt that we would like to make a web page about ourselves.

We are die hard Tamiya fans, we've raced soley Tamiya cars for over 3 years, and now we are trying out the HPI RS4s.

This site contains MANY pictures (Too many?).  Mostly pictures of Car Bodies we painted over the years. We are know for some interesting, perhaps unique, paint jobs. Some of them have appeared in such magazines as Radio Control Car Action, HPI's gallery, as well as 2 Tamiya TCS Best of Show winners.  Iniatially, when this site was created, html skills were basic, and the page seemed a bit overloaded. The page was more like a 'for fun' page, but now, I feel that we can do better. We no longer update our 'news' section, however, we would like to post race results weekly from around the area.

Special greetings and thanks to Mike Mayberry of Hitec/RCD, David Jun & Fred Medel of Tamiya, Frank McKinney at HPI, and Todd Hodge at GM.

I feel that this site has met our expectations of how we want to be presented (what we originally planned on doing).  There will be no longer any weekly updates, rather, updates will be made only if neccesary.  I no longer have the time to maintain the page on a weekly basis.  As of 9/99, I will devote much of my time to my studies as well as my full duties at Alpha & Omega Racing.  Thank You.

          Regards,
          Nelson L.
